Tips for a successful photo shoot
As a mother I understand the importance of preserving memories of our little ones. I also understand that picture day can be an anxious, tense day as we frantically scurry around to assure that our planning and preparation fall into place for our family photo shoot. I've learned a few important tips in my experience as a photographer to guarantee success at your upcoming photo shoot.
- Delegate responsibilities: Lay out clothes and let your husband or another family member help out younger family members. Although they may not do it exactly how we would do it, it's one less thing for you to do!)
- Stay positive: Other family members will mirror your attitude. Think of the shoot as a fun activity that you have been excitedly anticipating. Stay positive and keep a smile on your face! It’s contagious and will resonate in your photos.
- ·Kids will be kids: Unlike studio photography, children will not be confined in one spot. Children tend to be adventurous outdoors, and they inevitably get dirty. It is helpful to let kids be kids as it will allow me to capture their true personalities!
- Voice your expectations: Feel free to let me know what you have in mind so that we can be on the same page.
